LEADERSHIP TEAM
Ethan Raymond
President
THE ESSENTIALS
Ethan has worked for over 15 years in construction management, project development, and EPC contracting. These years have taken him all over the U.S. and have spanned a wide range of industries including commercial, retail, government/municipal, power, and renewable energy. Most recently, he has led development and EPC projects for electrical power generation, renewable natural gas, and community/utility-scale solar projects. This has meant working with clients such as National Grid, Avangrid (CMP), Pacific Gas & Electric, Dominion Energy, and Versant Power with projects ranging in size from $500k infrastructure upgrades on high voltage transmission & distribution lines to $500 million power generation projects.
THE STORY
In his role as President at Optimum EPC, Ethan’s focus is on bringing a client’s vision to life and building lasting relationships, which starts the first time they sit down together. He will begin by listening to a client’s concerns and needs for each project. With a deep understanding of renewable energy design, finance, and construction, Ethan will help clients navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology selection and energy policy. He starts to lay out a course to get from the vision to a completed structure on the ground. From there he pulls in other members of the Optimum EPC team to develop a detailed work breakdown structure, schedule, budget, and project delivery approach that everyone can enthusiastically buy into and work towards.
JAmes Morin
Vice President
THE ESSENTIALS
James has spent over a decade in strategy and operations leadership, helping companies scale through fast growth and the messy parts that come with it. His background spans software, consumer products, and Made-in-USA manufacturing, where he led operations through rapid expansion, international growth, and the kind of pressure that tests whether a business is actually built to last. That work taught him how to turn strategy into execution: building teams, tightening operations, and keeping everyone aligned when the stakes are high. He brings that same discipline to energy, a sector where demand is climbing fast and the country needs people who can build at scale.
THE STORY
As Vice President of Strategy & Operations at Optimum EPC, James is focused on what Optimum becomes next. The company built its reputation on community and distributed solar, and that work proved Optimum can deliver. Now James is helping push into bigger, more technical territory: utility-scale solar, battery storage, transmission and substation work, data center power, and microgrids. It's a deliberate expansion built on a solid foundation, grounded in a simple read on where the country is headed. America needs more power, and it needs it built well. Energy infrastructure is American Dynamism at its most tangible: making sure our communities and industries have the power they need to grow. James came to Optimum to help build exactly that, and to give the team the strategy, operations, and people to take on the work that's coming.
