Cherryfield | 2.6 MWdc | Ground Mount, Single-Axis Tracker

Optimum EPC delivered a complex tracker project on schedule, overcoming landfill debris, wetlands, and strict grading requirements.

Optimum EPC was contracted by Aligned Climate Capital to deliver full EPC services for a 2.6 MWdc single-axis tracker project in Cherryfield, Maine. The site included two major equipment pads and required extensive grading to accommodate the NexTracker system, which demanded strict tolerances for pile reveal heights and slope.

The site posed additional environmental challenges. Wetlands permitted for fill were scattered across the array footprint, and the project was located adjacent to an old landfill with debris encroaching into the work area. Optimum EPC worked closely with its sitework subcontractor to carefully manage trenching and properly disposed of debris encountered during foundation installation.

Despite frequently wet conditions, the project maintained an aggressive schedule and was energized prior to year end. This allowed Aligned Climate Capital to capture critical tax equity value and expand its growing portfolio of solar projects in Maine.
