Belfast | 4.5 MWdc | Ground Mount, Fixed-Tilt
This project showcased Optimum EPC’s ability to deliver on constrained sites with complex environmental considerations.
Optimum EPC was contracted by Syncarpha Capital to deliver full EPC services for a 4.5 MWdc fixed-tilt solar project in Belfast, Maine. The site consists of three sub-arrays and two major equipment pads/racks.
The project posed unique challenges due to its location, bordered on all sides by wetlands and confined within a highly restricted work area. To address these constraints, site crews implemented diversion ditches within each sub-array to manage surface water and used matting in heavy traffic zones to minimize ground disturbance while allowing safe equipment travel.
Limited laydown space across the project footprint required strategic logistics planning. Materials were delivered “right-on-time” and distributed directly throughout the array, enabling racking and module installation without the need for traditional staging areas.
Through proactive planning and precise execution, Optimum EPC successfully delivered a complex project within a sensitive environmental setting while maintaining quality and efficiency.
